Cat lovers rejoice!
After going online-only in 2020, the Cat Video Festival is finally returning in-person to CHS Field in Saint Paul this weekend. Ten thousand attendees attended the historic first Minnesota cat video festival in 2012 and the event has since drawn consistent crowds.
Doors will open at 6pm with the flagship reel of cat videos starting at 8pm. The festival will conclude with a fireworks display at 9:30pm.
Tickets are available online and at the door. Guests should expect to sit on the field to watch the cat videos: lawn chairs are not permitted, but blankets are welcome.
Admission to the festival is $15, though children 5 and under get free entrance. VIP tickets are also available for $75 for cat aficionados looking to watch from the Securian Financial Club. VIP tickets include private restrooms, air-conditioning, and food ranging from meat carving stations to pastas, salads, and desserts, with complimentary beer and wine also provided. $1 from every ticket sold for today’s festival goes to the Bitty Kitty Brigade, a local cat rescue for orphaned neonatal kittens in the Twin Cities.
